• Group 4 Nightspeed has won a £400,000 contract to deliver stationery, office supplies and business machines for Dudley Stationery. The deal comes two months after it won a 2750,000 deal to deliver stationery for Spicers.
• Merlin Distribution is taking a product-by-product look at John Menzies' distribution system as part of a new contract to find ways of improving its supply chain. The deal runs alongside its existing transport contract.
• ANC's Portsmouth depot is to distribute glass lighting products for Bognor Regisbased JCC Lighting.
• Swift Service, the industrial division of Salvesen Logistics, is to handle distribution for rolling bearing company, NSK-RHP Europe. NSK-RHP has 11 sites in Europe with a head office at Ruddington, Notts.
• United Transport has taken delivery of six bulk chocolate tankers for its contract with S&A LesmeCailebaut. The new tankers have separate compartments which give United the ability to carry a mixture of white, milk and plain chocolate.
• Lynx has won a 2150,000 contract to deliver multipacks of clocks and gifts for wholesaler Widclop Bingham, a major importer which has increased its business by an average of 20% a year over the past 15 years.
