• An increase in haulage rates by 10 per cent, due to "ever increasing costs hauliers are unable to absorbwas decided upon last week by the Leeds and District Hauliers Federation. It will become effective on November 1.
The Bradford Federation and Sheffield operators are also considering an increase.
