Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GOOLE-BASED road tanker haulier Lewis Tankers has won a bulk solvents distribution contract with Univar.

Under the agreement, the company will provide UK transport for the chemical distributor, which operates a sea-fed terminal at Cadishead, Manchester.

Lewis Tankers will use a contract leet of six multi-compartment solvents tanks to carry out the work, supported by a second tier of dedicated solvents tanks when required.

Previously, distribution of bulk solvents at Univar has been handled by several road tanker operators on a contracted and spot hire basis. The contract will be managed by Steve Smith, north-west regional manager at Lewis Tankers.

Lewis Tankers MD Stewart MacDonald says: “It means we can maximise utilisation of the contract leet and add additional resources as needed.

“By supporting the contract with dedicated solvents tanks from our multi-user leet we can minimise cleanouts, reducing the environmental impact.”
