TRAFFIC ON Watford's local bus services has grown since a new route network began last March.
Hertfordshire County Council planning officer Geoffrey Steeley has been monitoring the Watford wide service pattern introduced by London Country on March 31 and reports an increase in off-peak traffic especially on popular shopping days. The latest figures suggest as high a rise as 9 per cent in ticket sales.
This may be due in part to greatly improved service reliability through the replacement of AEC Swift and Merlin singledeckers.
