UkINISPORT Minister Wilm Rodgers has said it he will not lower Britain's avy goods vehicle driving indards merely to allow rmonisation with Europe. Speaking at the opening of a yal Society for the Prevenin of Accidents conference Bournemouth he said that EEC driving licence is a od idea.
''But a licence is simply a rap of paper. What is portant is the holder's corntence and the way it has en tested.
"Our professional drivers ve been very thoroughly tted and I would not agree to 2 lowering of our standards nply to make paper harmisation easier," he said.
