NATIONAL Bus is seeking a seven to 10 per cent fares increase in the New Year.
Most of the subsidiary companies are lodging applications with the Traffic Commissioners for rises in tune with their costs, typical examples being 7.5 per cent at United/Northern General, and almost 10 per cent at National Welsh and South Wales.
London Country, which tends to be treated separately from its sister companies, does not intend to increase its fares until April 1979.
