Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOUR HAULAGE models and two tippers will be offered in a new version added to the Chieftain range by Albion Motors Ltd. Called the Chieftain 51, these four-wheelers will differ between individual chassis in respect of wheelbase.

All Chieftain 51 chassis are plated for 13.5 tons when operated in the UK; overseas they will be sold for 13 tons gvw.

The engine used in the chassis is a Leyland 0.370 which drives through a 14in. clutch to an Albion five-speed constantmesh gearbox with options of overdrive and /or a splitter section to double the ratios. In common with other current Albions, the rear axle is a double-reduction unit with the secondary reduction by an epicyclic train in each hub.

There is a choice of axle ratio by selection of suitable primary-drive gears, overall ratios being 6.933, 6.25 and 5.555 to 1.

The air-pressure braking system has separate circuits to the front and rear axles to meet main and secondary efficiency requirements. For parking there is a multi-pull handbrake. Total lining area is 568 Rijn. The specification includes recirculating-ball steering and leaf-spring suspension with helper springs at the rear on the tipper models; telescopic dampers are fitted to the front axle in all cases.

The all-steel cab used on all Leyland Albion goods models before the advent of the Ergornatic design and still used by Albion on other models is retained for the new model.

A tipper chassis from the Chieftain 51 range will be featured by Albion at the Scottish Show.
