A payload of 21 tons 2cwt of cement is carried by this 32-ton-gross retractable articulated tanker operated by Haul-Big Ltd. of Melton Mowbray. The vehicle is produced by Metalair Ltd., Fishponds Road, Wokingham. Becks, and Is known as the MAB, the Metalair Artic Bulker. Of the pressuredischarge type, the tanker has a capacity of 700 cult. and is mounted on York tandem-axle running gear, the tractor being an AEC twin-steer unit having a wheelbase of 12ft 211n. Detailed features include a Wellworthy WS9 blower and Edbro single-ram elevating gear.
