/-1 A NEW steel alloy of the austenitic type is disclosed in patent No 876,458 by . Ford Motor Co., Ltd., 88 Regent Street, London, W.I. It is made from inexpensive and non-critical elements, its composition being, in addidon to iron, the following percentages: aluminium 9, manganese 30, carbon 1 and silicon I+. Good strength and oxide resistance are claimed up to 1,500' F.
