AN order for six A.E.C. Reliance 36t.long dual-purpose coaches has b n placed by Barton Transport, Ltd., of Chilwell, Notts. The coaches will h ve 8-ft. 2i-in.-wide bodywork by W. S. Yeates, Ltd., of Loughborough, eapa le of seating up to 57 passengers. chassis are to be of the Reliance 90 type, with 9.6-litre engine, and will h ve four-speed synchromesh gearboxes.
A feature of the bodywork is the p 0vision of two doorways, the high seati capacity being obtained by the use of "three and two" arrangement to the r ar of the second doorway. Provision Is being made for the use of more luxuri seating for a smaller number if passengers on Continental tours.
