HARE’S ON the move! Although it opens us up to the obvious “CM has gone to the dogs” jibe, the first Commercial Motor Race Night held at Birmingham’s Hall Green Greyhound Stadium to coincide with last week’s CV Show was a great success.
More than 200 exhibitors and guests attended the event, hopefully having more success betting across the evening’s 10 races than we did.
After a bit of hounding, Colin Maclean, UK sales manager at race sponsor Stoneridge, said the night “was great entertainment and a fantastic way to enhance the CV Show experience”.
Paul Bratton, director of race sponsor SDC Trailers, who is obviously not barking, added: “The customer feedback has been superb.” RHA chairman Richard Fry avoided marking his (race) card when he said: “It was a fun evening, with good food and good company.”
