Heavier types of washing machines from Servis have meant the up-rating of York trailersto carry them. Servis manufacturers Wilkins and Mitchell Ltd, use 18 York Freightmasters originally plated at 13.2 tonnes (13 tons) gtw. Now the trailers have been up-rated by York to 17.3 tonnes (17 tons)gtw modifying the brakes, wheel and tyre equipment. Up to 60 Servis automatic washing machines can be carried on the main deck. with 50 twin-tubs above on an intermediate deck. Ford D2014 tractor units plated at 20.3 tonnes (20 tons) gcw have replaced earlier 17.8 tonne (37.5 ton) gm D700 units.
