Pl.A NEW nuclear power station is to be built at Bridgwater. Work would start in May, Mr. T. D. Corpe told the Western Licensing Authority last week. A tremendous demand would be made upon the Mendip Quarries.
Mr. Corpe's client, Mr. A. V. Horsey, Chapel Allerton, Somerset, sought a B licence for a vehicle of 24 tons unladen to carry quarried materials.
British Railways objected. The Authority granted a licence limited to a radius of 50 miles.
