Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MAN WILL LAUNCH an updated version of its TGA range, complete with all-new V8 engine, in 2007.

The new engine, developed jointly with specialist German crane and mixer manufacturer Leibherr, will be just one element of a hefty revision of the popular TGA line-up.

It will also feature new transmissions — part of MAN's cooperation with Scania — and a new cooling package, as well as a makeover of the cab interior.

For heavy haulage chassis, built at MAN's Austrian plant, and for Leibherr applications, the V8 motor will be offered at ratings up to 670hp, though for more conventional road-going use it will be restricted to a maximum power output somewhere in the region of 630hp.

This quashes previous rumours that MAN would be relying on Scania's V8 engine to replace its top-of-the-range V10.

In addition, MAN has also announced it will be launching a new 13-litre engine, the D26, to replace the outgoing 12.8-litre D28 motor at the IAA Hanover truck show next year.

The D26, which is capable of producing up to 600hp, is effectively a longer stroke version of the impressive new D20 10.5-litre engine which was launched by MAN last year.
