Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

for M6 Toll cut

A BUSINESS leader believes the M6 Toll operator may be about to introduce a temporary reduction in charges for trucks.

Jerry Blackett, chairman of the newly formed West Midlands Business Transport Group, says concessions could be granted because of the start of resurfacing work around Junction 8 of the M6 on Tuesday (7 June).

This will be followed by repairs between Junctions 5 and 6 and along the A38(M) from early July. All three programmes are due to take five months; massive delays are expected (CM 20 May).

Blackett says: "I got the impression that they [the operator] were very conscious of the pressure they were under when I took soundings from people close to the issue about a month ago."
