Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALTHOUGH the long-awaited Perkins "Squish Lip" combustion system is not yet available for truck use, use has been sanctioned in the 4.2032 engine for fork lift trucks.

The engine, which will be available for installation in 1978 is in two forms: the 3tandard rating is 45kW :60bhp) at 2,600rpm with a maximum torque of 211Nm ;1561bft) at 1,500rpm while a ierated version is available with a maximum torque of 190Nm (1401bft).

In spite of the blaze of publicity with which it was Announced in 1974, the "Squish Lip" has been conspicuous by its absence as far as truck application is concerned.

The main advantage over a conventional system is claimed to be an improvement in exhaust emissions.
