ANEW Hirst battery-electric reach truck, known as the Forager Reacher, has a capacity of 2,500 lb. It features transistorized control and gives an infinitely-variable speed up to 4 m.p.h. The lifting forks have a length of 2 ft. 10 in. and centres are adjustable from 6.5 in. to 19 in.

Unladen weight of the vehicle, including the battery, is 4,350 lb. Height of the lift varies between 9 ft. and 12 ft. according to load, the maximum lift being obtainable with a load of 2,000 lb.
