One of the special and particular ad, vantages of the S.M.M. and T. tractor trials is that the arrangements permit of entire independent trials, on different days, of the tractor& and. implements, on. two quite independent classes of Soil, yet these two trials, nevertheless, take place on consecutive days and the sites are 'within a quarter. of a 'mile of one another. The first day's trial is.to take place in a valley where the soil is from medium, to heavy zclay. On the second day.'the ploughing is to be carried out on an elevated plateau where the soil is light cliff land.
