At the Belfast Agricultural Show, which opened. in the -Balmoral Show • Grounds at Delfa.,st on Wednesday last for three days, the motor-vehicle exhibits made . quite a brave show. We propose to deal in a later issue rather more fully with some Of the exhibits; suffice it f•or the time being to say that they Included. productions of the Leyland, Maudslay, Commer Car, Clayton and Shuttleworth, Austin and Alldays and Onions' factories, as well as a number of agricultural motors.

The Leyland exhibit included one 500gallon fir engine constructed for the SandwichFire 'Brigade and illustrated by us last week: This was undoubtedly the star feature among the mechanical transport exhibits of the show and always attracted large crowds. With its engine running and its hack axle and 026 gearbox exposed to View, it formed quite a centre of interest. The 4-ton Lerland " G" type with platform body built for Messrs. Torney Bros., of Belfeet, was also illustrated by us last week. The char-e-bancs built for the Penrhiweeiber Motor Co. was of the de luxe "N " type to seat 27 people. These were exhibited by -Mister Kirk and Co., Ltd., who are the sole agents in the North of Ireland for Leyland productions.

The Belfast agent for Maudslays, Mr. Stringer, exhibited a. Maudslay 4ton standard demonstration wagon; a subsidy type 4-ton live axle, screw tip wagon for B. A. Burke and Co., of Belfast; a demonstration 4-tan chassis of a similar type, shown after having travelled 4,000 miles on demonstration

'work, and a similar 4-ton chassis equipped with a canvas tilt wagon con-, structed for Gracey Bros., of Belfast, the well-known jam manufacturers. Thompson's Motor Car Cu., Ltd., of Belfast, showed a Commer 3-4-ton . " B.C." type equipped with a -platforin lorry ; two -Clayton and Shuttleworth 5ton steamers, one of -them being a demonstration wagon and the other being constructed for William Belshaw, Lime Works, Lisburn; one Wyles twofurrow self-contained motor plough arid one Clayton and Shuttleworth 35 b.h.p. multipede tractor. .

.A Caledon motor lorry was expected at the time of 'our representative's journey round the show grounds.

Harry Ferguson, Ltd.,:showed one of the new Auetin agricultural tractors. A single-cylinder tractorby Wallis and Steevens was also shown. Allelays and Oniens had one of their all purpose tractors on view. • There were also a Saunderson tractor and a Titan and two Overtimes, the whole of the agricultural exhibits, as well as the commercial vehicles creating considerable interest.
