Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transit production at Southampton is to be drastically cut because of falling CV sales.

Production will not re-start after Christmas until 14 January and the plant will be on a threeday week until tlie end of the month.

Normally, the plant produces 360 Transits a day, Lost production will not help the new Transit, launched in October, but Ford still hopes to meet its first year sales targets.

No job cuts are planned at the plant, but a final decision has yet to be made on lay-offs. The Transit plant at Genk in Belgium, which supplies most left-hand-drive models, is not affected.
