• Two large orders totalling 330 Darlingtonbuilt Cummins VS engines are announced from major US truck transport operators.
The largest single order received to date from an end user, as opposed to truck manufacturers, has been negotiated with Consolidated Freightvvays for the installation of 230 Cummins VSE-170 engines in White trucks.
Interstate has ordered 100 Cummins V8-185 engines to replace petrol engines in Dodge trucks. This is in addition to the previous repowering of 60 trucks with Cummins V8 engines.
