Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ATS Euromaster started its Carbon Cutter service in December 2010 and has 10 customers going through a trial-and-error phase. Simon Tattersall says: “We had to find out if this was a service the market wanted. We tested it on a small number of fleets and they bought into the concept. We are now at the evaluation and testing phase.” The companies involved have cited different reasons for signing up.

“Some operators have targeted reducing their carbon footprint, some targeting fuel reduction, and others have focused on fuel and safety. If tyre pressure is correct, the contact patch is correct and the vehicles handle and brake properly.

“Customers recognised the issue needs a specialised approach,” he says.

“We know our customers’ customers are asking what is being done to reduce their carbon footprint and this helps demonstrate that they are doing something to reduce it.”
