Keith Bury FInst WM MIEH, was elected chairman of the National Association of Waste Disposal Contractors last week.
"Waste is an emotive subject, which often results in much ill-informed comment and statement," said Bury in his acceptance speech, "I would therefore like to see a higher level of education in regard to the industry's work throughout the community and in this context, I support the initiative taken by the Institute of Wastes Management in the publication of its book 'The Best of Waste Disposal—.
Bury has been involved in the industry all his working life, the early part in the public sector and latterly as managing director of Waste Management Limited.
