Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HOW ANNOYING and frustrating to find that road users still use the high-intensity rear lamps even when there is only the slightest hint of mist and worse still during a raindriven night when visibility is impaired to a dangerous level. A number also are able to switch them on even though driving on side lights only.

Surely it is now time for the Government to launch a national campaign through all avenues of media, and then clamp down on these stupid offenders?

. On a point of safety, is it not about time that car manufacturers began to fit a simple form of "master switch" so that electrical fires can be contained more quickly. Would not the insurance companies be prepared to offer a discount to owners who have them fitted? J. EASTMAN Hadleigh Essex
