Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE MULTILOWDA tipping semitrailer from Don-Bur Bodies and Trailers of Longton, Staffordshire, is the latest addition to its product range and is designed primarily for 313-tonne gcw operations carrying high-density materials such as aggregates or coal.

The tipper trailer, with its 36.7cum (48cuyd) all-aluminium body, is available in tri-axle or tandem axle form and features a 3.2m ('loft 6in) overall body height with a smooth, level floor.

Its low floor height is achieved by combining the neck section of the chassis frame with the body floor bearers. This eliminates the usual internal step at the front end of the frame and reduces the depth of the neck above the king pin area to 51mm (2in).

The level-body design is said to give a lower centre of gravity with improved on-road handling characteristics, while its low overall height is particularly useful where low, hopper loading facilities exist.

The trailer's overall length is 9.83rn (32.25ft) and in tri-axle form has an unladen weight of 5.55 tonnes with a maximum gross trailer weight of 33.5 tonnes. Rubery Owen-Rockwell SMT 47S monoleaf suspension is fitted using RD TMT 20010 QMX axles. This gives a bogie capacity of 22.5 tonnes.

A tandem-axle version of the Multilowda has a 4.85 tonnes unladen weight, uses Rubery Owen-Rockwell SMT 445 suspension and RO TMT 22510 QMX axles.

Single diaphragm Anchorlok type 20 brake actuators are fitted as well as a Wabco loadsensing and relay valve as standard.
