• CMs campaign to get the government to hand back 22m of stowaway fines has received a boost this week with the news that legal experts believe the government's decision has broken human rights laws.

Although the government had cancelled 212m worth of unpaid fines, it continues to hold on to the money already paid by terrified hauliers who feared they could lose their homes or businesses if they didn't pay.
