Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A TYRE fire blanket made of texturised glass is now being tested by Monsanto Ltd, the chemicals company, which has a fleet of 400 vehicles.

The idea is to cut the danger which can occur to heavy tankers laden with volatile liquids when brake drums and bearings overheat.

The blanket, made by Tutor Safety Products Ltd, of Blandford, Dorset, is wrapped around the wheel and prevents the fire from spreading. It has a trunk at the top to admit a fireman's hose.

Station Officer Brian Powell, of the Cumbria Fire Service, designed the blanket.
