• Mr. B. S. Pickup, the home sales director of the BLMC truck and bus division, opened Mann Egerton's new £75,000 commercial vehicle centre at Maple Road, King's Lynn, last week. The truck depot will handle all BLMC vehicles and the manager is Mr. G. D. Mason.
Occupying 15,000 sq.ft and surrounded by a 11 acre parking area, the centre has inside accommodation for five 50ft and five 30ft working bays and a 50ft segregated paintshop section. Wide entrances allow the centre to accept any size of vehicle. Two 30ft pits have built-in lubrication equipment and automatic waste oil disposal. Two 20ft pits for smaller vehicles are equipped with axle lift facilities at any position.
