adapted Ford Transit 190 service and maintenance trucks have been supplied to Caterpillar distributor Finning by NCS Truck Equipment of Chesterfield.
The old-style Transits are equipped with Ferrari CR750 electro-hydraulic cranes which have a 3.5m horizontal reach, a 750kg lifting capacity at lm radius and a 370-degree rotation.
The aluminium-bodied vehicles also have Musgrave generators, cab-mounted electro-hydraulic power packs and Load-lok retainers on the rear working floor. A hydraulic stabiliser is fitted on the craneside of the vehicles, with a mechanical stabiliser on the non-operating side.
Access to the spares and tool's compartments is through roller shutter doors.
