Ian Carruthers, Brittany Ferries, freight manager, said this week that the company is launching a freight development programme under the title "Straight Freight from Brittany Ferries".
During the coming summer, up to three sailings would be operated on the Plymouth/ Roscoff route by the 40-trailer capacity Cornouatifes and Armorique, capable of carrying 22 trailers.
The company is also inaugurating services between Plymouth and Santander, Northern Spain, in April, and Roscoff and Cork, Southern Ireland, in May.
