FIRST SNORKEL FOR RUSSIA: Simon Engineering Dudley Ltd. has received an order from the U.S.S.R. Trade Delegation in London for a Snorkel fire-fighting and rescue unit to be supplied to Avtoexport. A.E.C. COACHES FOR CREENSLADES: Greenslades Tours Ltd. has ordered another six A.E.C. Reliance coach chassis, four of which will be 36-ft. vehicles with AH590 engines, and the remaining two 3I-ft. machines with A11470 engines, all to be fitted with six-speed gearboxes.

. . . AND YELLOWAY: Yelloway Motor Services Ltd. has ordered another six A.E.C. Reliance 590 chassis with six-speed gearboxes and full air suspension, to be fitted with 45-seat coach bodies by Thos. Harrington Ltd., and featuring Chapman reclining seats.

EAST LANCS AGAIN FOR LUTON : Luton Corporation transport committee recommends the acceptance of a tender from East Lancashire Coachbuilders Ltd. for six 69-seat double-deck bus bodies at a total cost of £21,720, to be mounted on Dennis Loline chassis already on order.

TASKERS TRAILERS FOR FERRY SERVICE: The Atlantic Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. has purchased 10 20-ton drawbar trailers from Taskers of Andover (1932) Ltd. The trailers are loaded with loose crated cargo and driven aboard the Cerdic Ferry at Tilbury to be driven off again at Antwerp or Rotterdam where they await collection by hauliers, thus saving considerable time and dispensing with the need for interntediate handling and costly packaging.

MORE FOR BEER: Another 20 tandemaxle, 20-ton semi-trailers, and a set of tandem-axle running gear have been supplied to Charrington and Co. Ltd.' Anchor Brewery, London, by Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd.
