• MR. IL C. PARKES, J.P., has been appointed, chairman of Small and • Parkes, Ltd., Hendham Vale Works, Manchester, in succession to the late Mr. George William Parkes. The business of which Mr. H. C. Parkes was the head was amalgamated with Small and Parkes, Ltd., in 1899, since when Mr. Parkes has been actively and continuously associated with the company, of which he has long been a director. MR. GEORGE WILFRED PARKES (managing director), son of the late chairman, has been appointed deputy chairman of the. company.
