Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A gang of armed robbers who targeted containers at Dublin port have been arrested following a swoop by Ireland's elite Emergency Response Unit.

The raid by armed officers on a warehouse in Ashbourne, Co Meath, recovered some €200,000 worth of goods stolen from Dublin Port in a string of hold-ups over the past two months. The gang produced firearms, tied up staff, and loaded containers onto a trailer towed by their own tractor.

In December they took an Irish Ferries employee hostage with them as they drove off with €1.9m worth of cigarettes. The hostage was later released unharmed.

Police discovered the thieves' warehouse following a robbery of a €60,000 consignment of Easter eggs from the port last week.
