Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The winner of the CM prize in-the latest Royal Society of Arts road transport exams, Malcolm Dodd, of Shipdam, Norfolk, has had a swift rise in his chosen career. He joined his employer in 1970 as an assistant to the transport manager, became assistant transport manager before starting the RSA course and, by the time he'd got his results, had already been made transport manager of D. D. Bowes and Sons Ltd.

There were, in fact, four candidates who got higher marks than Malcolm in the Road Transport (Goods) parts I and II which count towards the CM prize, but they also got other awards and the rules stipulate that these prizes can't go to someone who's gained two other awards. No coincidence, I'm sure, that three of the four high scorers were RTITB instructors or training officers who took their courses at Denny Further Education Centre, in Stirlingshire. No fewer than seven of the diplomawinning candidates, with some of the highest marks, took their training at Denny.

Malcolm did his course externally at Watton, Norfolk, and it's from Norfolk that he controls a fleet of 33 heavy trucks and 27 trailers. They carry livestock, refrigerated foods and general freight and run a TIR service to Belgium.

He's now going on for the CIT qualifications, he tells me, and is working towards the day when he is able to control a larger organization in the transport field. Since he tells me he's particularly interested in transport in thinly-populated countries perhaps he's a future candidate for one of those United Transport Overseas Ltd companies?
