TWO new cellular container ships have been ordered by British Railways from the Verolme Cork Dockyard Ltd., Cobh, the first of which is 'clue to enter service in the summer of 1970.

For use on a daily service between Holyhead and Belfast and Dublin, the new ships will each carry the equivalent of 180 20ft ISO boxes. The vessels will each be of 3,800 tons gross and will together cost approximately £2m.
