THE TRAM has returned to London but happily only as part of a mural to enliven the exterior of the London Transport Museum facing the Covent Garden piazza. Simon Kibblewhite, a 22-year-old artist, has painted the monster full size, along with a B-type bus of about 70 years ago and an old Metropolitan Railway locomotive.
The result contributes boldly to Covent Garden's élan.
