SCAMMELL MOTORS has installed four Trepel double hydraulic scissor lifts in its newly opened automated paint shop.
The scissor lifts handle commercial vehicle components weighing up to 190kg (420Ib) with a maximum profile of 2.43 x 1.21 x 1.06m 18 x 4 x 3ft 6in) raising and lowering them to and from a height of 1.8m (5ft 10in) to an overhead conveyor.
Control boxes are mounted on 800mm (31.5in) pillars next to the tables and the 1.65 x 1m (5ft Sin x 3ft 3in) platforms, are fitted with heavy wire-mesh skirts on all sides.
