Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MOVES TO HAVE convicted freight-forwarding fraudster Jeff Lewis made bankrupt were hafted in the high court this week after his legal representative requested an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA).

Russel Sender, acting for Lewis, says the case has been adjourned until next month when he hopes his client will be granted an IVA as an alternative to bankruptcy.

An IVA involves an agreement in which the debtor pays off the money owed to his or her creditors within an agreed period of time under the direction of a supervisor.

The bankruptcy case against Lewis was brought to court this month by WA Humphries International.

Sender confirmed that Lewis had unpaid debts owing to the company of about 16,000 • Solicitor Lawrence St Lyon of Reading firm Rovvberry Morris would like anyone else who has had dealings with Jeff Lewis to contact him on 0118 9585 611.
