THE SOCIETY of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the Freight Transport Association are working on an idea to standardise demountable body fixings.
The obvious advantage of such a move would be that operators would have complete interchangeability and flexibility between different makes of demount systems.
Committees representing the two bodies recently met, and although their solutions varied, they were both aiming at the same objective, reports SMMT.
