THE sole selling rights in the U.K. for the full range of Wix oil, fuel and air filters, for replacement purposes have been obtained by Crompton Parkinson, Ltd.. Crompton House, AldwAch,
London, W.C.2. The filters are already being produced in this country by a newly formed company--Wix Corporation (U.K.), Ltd.
Wix developments of particular interest include a new type of oil filter which replaces conventional filters with a diecast head, detachable bowl and replaceable element, replacement being carried out by screwing off the old unit and screwing on the new one. Other developments are the Wix Porosite—a cartridge type of oil filter and dry-type air filters. In this field Wix have already produced a range of filters using special paper designed to replace oil-bath types.
Marketing and selling operations will be undertaken by the battery-selling organization of Crompton Parkinson, Ltd., and the filters will be available at Crompton branches throughout the country.
