ADMINISTRATOR PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has received inquiries from a number of potential buyers for car transporter specialist Richard Lawson, which went into administration two weeks ago (CM,23 September).

Bruce Cartwright. a partner at PwC, which is now running the firm. says: "We have spoken to all employees and have arranged meetings with key customers, who have been very supportive.

"We have had inquires from a number of good companies both from within the haulage trade and outside it.We have also had a good response to an advert which we placed in the financial press for a buyer.

"However, it is still too early to say where this will lead. We continue to trade as normal and to deliver cars across the UK."

An advert for the firm in the FmancialTunes states that it transports cars throughout the UK and has a 25% market share. It has 22 sites across the UK and runs 318 trucks with 325 trailers.
