AST Monday, the Appeal Tribunal justified the revocation of the A licence and the A-contract licence of Mr. Henry William Godden, of Hartfield, Sussex, dismissing his ,appeal against the action of the South-Eastern Licensing Authority, on August 3.

The appellant had, in March, 1937, received a full warning as to his duty with regard to drivers' hours and records. after an examination of the latter. In July, lass, the appellant was convicted on four charges of failing to comply with the conditions of his licence in the matter of drivers' hours, on six charges of falsifying records and on one charge of failing to produce a record. Nine offences were in relation to the A licence and two in relation to the A-contract licence, the more serious Ones (i.e., falsifying) being in the former category., A public inquiry was held on August 3, and the Licensing Authority revoked both the licences. The Tribunal stated that the order would lie, in the ,office for 21 ,days to facilitate customers' arrangements.

The appellant's A licence is in respect of four vehicles, and the Acontract licence in respect of one vehicle. Mr. Max Muller appeared for appellant and there was no respondent.
