"I know I speak for colleagues and customers alike when I say that we will miss Paul Povey upon his retirement." He adds: "And 2008 is on target to be another record year for commercial vehicles."

In his new role, Oliver will be responsible for managing the client portfolio and scouting for new business and clients. Before his appointment at Manheim two years ago in truck and van retail, he spent 25 years with Ford and lveco Ford Trucks, and 10 years with LDV operating in service, sales and management.

Oliver says: "With a wealth of experience in the commercial vehicle arena, I am looking forward to utilising all the knowledge, skills and contacts gained throughout a lifetime in the motor industry."
