Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Louise Cote SMALL TRUCK operators are being urged to tap into the additional funding for free training for small business employees that the Government is offering in the wake of the credit crunch.

Last week, it announced a 050m fund to provide free training to UK businesses with fewer than 250 employees, as well as a simplification of the rules making productivity training more easily accessible.

The move, announced by skills secretary John Denham, is part of the Government's attempts to help small to medium-sized UK businesses survive the recession.

It has focused on training because statistics suggest firms that build in-house skills are more successful and more resilient.

Skills for Logistics chief executive ET, officer Dr Mick Jackson says: We urge logistics companies to access t; their share of this funding."

g The money will fund training through Train To Gain and can provide modular training in such subjects as customer service and financial management. Previously, modules had to combine to form a qualification, NV() or higher, but the Government has now waived any outcome requirements.

The training budget will he allocated by assessment from a skills broker.
