Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Glass's Information Services gives the low down on hot properties and cold deals. And for big tractors the temperature's rising.

Tractor units with powerful engines are in great demand on the used marketplace, according to the specialists at Glass's Information Services.

Anything above 430hp and less than live years old is popular, with 460/480hp tractors getting the most favourable ratings from trade and private buyers alike. However, Glass's warns that dilution with too many highly specced big-cab tractors will hit overall residuals and will also have a serious effect on the prices of less powerful products.

Multi-axle rigids continue to be popular, especially those with hook-loaders, and longbodied platforms with stout cranes. Primequality drawbars, especially car transporters. are in demand — particularly with Volvo, Scania and Daf badges on the grille — although they need to be relatively new for best prices.

Bulk tippers have been in short supply which has been bolstering used prices;judging by the examples at CVA recently, they're snapped up when they come up for sale.

The 7.5-tonne sector has been affected by the market-driven price realignment with box vans hit the hardest. Glass's reports that dealers have found demand patchy with only the best and youngest stock attracting the strongest prices. However, now that prices have been settled, trade is expected to pick up.

At the light end of the market demand for high-powered 3.5-tonne panel vans seems insatiable, with sub-100hp engines seen as relatively gutless. Glass's Guide to Commerc Values highlights a £500 differential betweer the 75hp and 100hp versions of the Ford liansit 7280. is
