Carmasters has moved into commercial vehicle auctions with a successful inaugural sale.

Carrnasters completed its first commercial vehicle auction with more than 100 vehicles going through, and those that sold matched book price.

The light commercial vehicle auction took place at Bridlington, East Yorkshire, with Northgate providing a bulk of the 109 lots. Approximately 50% were sold to a trade-based crowd .The sale prices, which averaged 99.3% of CAP Clean, reflected the overall quality of the vehicles and full availability of V5s.

Carmasters' managing director Mike Garland was very encouraged by the succcess of the initial sale.

"Ile overall standard of presentation was first class and those trade buyers who attended were very favourably impressed with our facilities," he reports.

'Preparations are now in hand for our next auction, to be held on 6 November, which will include a balanced selection of fully prepared 'ready to retail' units and unprepared trade vehicles," he added."There will be more retail buyers at the next event." •
