The firm formerly known as Fruehauf continues to manufacture from its plant in Antrim, Northern Ireland with another at Naas, Co Kildare. GT claims to be the biggest trailer company in Europe,with manufacturing plants in several European countries, backed up by dedicated parts and sales operations.
It is reported to be selling around 1.000 units a year in the UK and Ireland. Oil companies number among its biggest customers with some specialist kit costing more than £70,000 a unit. The Irish operation is part of Fruehauf General Trailers Corporation and is the agent for Fruehauf in Ireland.
