Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Isuzu launched its Rodeo pickup in the windswept North-East with some surprising specs. And despite the cowboy gags, it got several yee-haas of approval. Kevin Swallow goes off-road.

Isuzu reckons that by introducing a three-litre engine and a four-speed automatic gearbox with its all-new Rodeo it has a pickup that's ready to take on its competitors and gain market share in the UK .

The manufacturer boasts that it has the most powerful engine on the market but it's the new body styling. interior redesign and suspension that could well make the difference with buyers.

Isuzu's UK arm is planning to sell 3,500 units a year into the municipal, farming, landscaping, environmental and construction sectors, and it will be offering the Denver spec to executives keen to cut their tax bills.

General Motors and Isuzu have good reason to take this market seriously. When the badged equivalents are sold into the pickup 'heartlands' of America and Australia, labelled Chevrolet and Holden respectively, they have to feature practicality and desirability rolled into one.

Constructed in Thailand in a purpose-built factory, the Rodeo sports a car-like interior coupled with practical performance.

When a 4x4 instructor reckons the Rodeo can hold its own with a Land Rover Defender over the off-road course at Slaley Flail that's compliment enough — and, generally, a Rodeo won't receive such rough treatment. st
