PROPOSALS to increase fares on routes have been submitted to t Licensing Authority by Wilts a
Dorset Motor Services, Ltd. Ma R.A.F. camps in the area will be aft ted if the increases are granted.
It is proposed to add lcl. to fa from 6d. to 11d., 2d. to those rangi from Is. to Is. lid., 3d. to those of to 2s. lid., and so on up to 5s. a above to which not more than 6d. v be added.
Halifax Transport Committee are review workmen's fares at th November meeting. A report by I general manager pointed out tl Halifax still issued workmen's tick until 8 a:m., whilst neighbouring und takings had stopped this concessi4 The matter will be reviewed in the 1i1 of the results of applications for higl pay which are expected to be known then.
