Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The South-Eastern Licensing Authority has altered the suspension penalty imposed upon Simpsons (Rye Harbour), Ltd., Rye Harbour, for a breach of the hours regulations. Originally, he suspended the company's C licence for a week from October 12, but he amended this penalty to a reduction of the fleet from seven vehicles and two trailers to three vehicles and two trailers for a fortnight from October 12, A.E.C.'s New Service Depot.

The Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., is building a new service depot adjoining its factory at Southall, Middlesex. When completed next year it will be equipped with modern servicing plant and will enable its personnel to maintain closer contact with the factory than is now possible from the company's depot at North Road, London, N.

A Licence Revoked: B Application.

An A licence, held by Messrs. S. C. and L. J. Measday, trading as Measday Bros., 75, Murston Road, Sittingbourne, Kent, has been revoked by the South-Eastern Licensing Authority. They have applied for a B licence for six vehicles (38k tons) to carry goods within 180 miles of Sittingbourne railway station.

Success of Ford Show.

This year's Ford Motor Exhibition, at the Albert Hall, broke all records for attendance since the first largescale exhibition of Ford products, organized 10 years ago. The total number of visitors during the 10 days was approximately 40 per cent, above the figure for last year—itself a record—and, on one day alone, over 12,000 people attended.

When Safety Glass Must Be Fitted.

Owners of motor vehicles first registered on or before January 1, 1932, are reminded that in accordance with the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations, 1931, the glass in windscreens, or front windows, of those vehicles must be of safety glass as from January 1, 1937. The requirement does not apply to glass fitted to the upper-deck windows of a doublesaloon bus.

Insurance Premiums by Instalments.

A revised proposal form for commercial-vehicle insurance is being issued by Invincible Policies, Ltd., Whittington House, 7, Whittington Avenue, London, E.C.3, and it is interesting to note that the premiums have been carefully set out, in separate schedules, for A, B and C licences. Each schedule is divided into two sections, one set of rates showing the premiums for annual policies and the other the rates for instalment policies. The latter may be paid either in four equal monthly payments, or in three equal two-monthly payments.
